What you’ll do day-to-day
- Lead and empower a high-performing data team by fostering a results-driven mindset, ensuring adherence to best practices, and maintaining operational rigor to achieve meaningful firmwide impact.
- Drive the firm’s market data operations, focusing on tooling, and process clarity.
- Manage operational workflows related to market data, including contract negotiation and overseeing the full data life cycle.
- Optimize processes and system design to improve cost efficiency and streamline delivery of market data.
- Identify data sources that match business goals and research objectives, proactively sharing leads and supporting sourcing efforts.
- Collaborate across internal groups such as investment research, alternative data, legal and compliance, tech, and purchasing to solve problems, assess needs, and define priorities.
- Serve as the point of contact for vendor relationships, oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, and act as the escalation point for audits, usage reviews, and vendor-critical processes, while ensuring cross-functional alignment under pressure.
- Maintain detailed records of subscriptions and vendor interactions, partner with Legal & Compliance to ensure timely and compliant data set renewals and advise research and investment analysts on datasets that support their agendas.
- Collaborate with international teams, coordinate cross-region delivery, and contribute to the centralization and improvement of data tracking, quality control, and reporting workflows.
