Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Information and Digital Solutions organization is looking for a highly motivated and qualified motivated Accounting Systems Consultant that is familiar with SAP GL, accounting processes, -financial reporting, and is comfortable with systems and applications.
The primary responsibility of this role is to engage with, enable and support the Data Technology Supplier
Reporting to the National Manager, Accounting Solutions
What you’ll be doing
The person will be part of the team working on TFS’s financial transformation journey. The primary responsibility of this role is to be part of the team that designs, implements, configures and supports the SAP Financial Products Subledger (FPSL). The role also includes supporting the analysis and development of contract level reporting to support the accounting function. This individual will work closely with accounting, finance, data, and technology stakeholders to deliver on the primary responsibilities of the role.
- Gather and document accounting and finance requirements for accounting and reporting various financial and insurance products.
- Configure and troubleshoot FPSL accounting and processes.
- Monitor daily, monthly, quarterly and year end processes.
- Provide training and support to a limited set of accounting end users.
- Execute and provide evidence of internal SOX controls.
- Participate an Agile and Domain Ceremonies.
- Participate in enterprise initiatives as it relates to SAP FPSL.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced analysts on the team.
- Suggest system improvements as part of TFS’ goal to work efficiently using technological tools
What you bring
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field.
- Strong techno functional experience designing, implementing, configuring and supporting financial or accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principals
- Understanding of accounting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Added Bonus if you have
- Advanced Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience in Accounting and Financial reporting
- Experience with configuring SAP central finance (G/L, AP, or AR)
- Experience working in an Agile
