Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Accounting and Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Business Unit Finance Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement financial forecasts for a number of Business units including quarterly forecast updates, monthly analytics, advising financial decision support and confirming forecast accuracy.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Business Unit Finance department's objective to provide its customers with best-in-class finance support helping drive better decision making with a finance view.
What you’ll be doing
Drive financial management reporting and analysis for a specified functional group/sub-group and/or specific profit element.
Utilize analytical models for functional (or profit element) budgets and forecasts and variance analysis comparing actual results vs. projections
Partner with operational teams to ensure alignment of financial projections with operational objectives and physical drivers.
Perform cost-benefit analyses for business cases, supporting decision-making and prioritization processes.
Develop data-driven analyses of risks to be mitigated or opportunities to be pursued, and model alternate action plans to optimize results.
Support management of data structure within corporate systems to support effective and accurate cost/profit data aligned with organizational areas of accountability
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other analytical degree with equivalent work experience
Experience in accounting, financial reporting, or other relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in closing process gaps and resolving issues
Proficiency with MS Excel and advanced functionality
Demonstrated aptitude with a desire to learn and apply emerging technologies
Added bonus if you have
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, financial modeling, management reporting, and cost benefit analysis
Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI reporting tools
Experience working in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
