Who we’re looking for
The core function of this role is to serve as a Product and Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) and training resource for a broad range of Toyota, Lexus, and Private Label dealerships, affiliates, and dealer associates.
This individual will be responsible for delivering expert-level product knowledge and training support, with a strong emphasis on enhancing customer-facing engagement strategies across the dealer network.
This role will be reporting to the Regional Training Manager and can work and reside anywhere in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Baltimore, Maryland with access to a major airport.
This person in this role will support the sales portfolio areas within the Region requiring an understanding of the specific criteria and metrics relevant to the portfolio and individual dealers.
What you’ll be doing
Deliver coaching and training content to elevate dealer performance to a heightened level, thereby increasing TFS product and contract output.
Communicate with impact to all audiences, including one on one training, small groups, or the facilitation of large classroom environments.
Collaborate with teammates to share best practices with the goal of delivering the content at a consistently elite level as a department.
Partner with Headquarter Sales training and development team to sharpen training skills, ensure training consistency, and further tailor training materials based on field and local dealer input for field use.
Continuously expand knowledge of product line, market demand, industry changes and dealer challenges to create impactful training.
75 % percent of travel is required.
What you bring
Minimum 5 years of experience in a captive finance, retail automotive, and wholesale environment, and/or insurance environment in sales/finance
B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent related experience
Understanding of captive automotive finance business, automotive buying behaviors, and dealership financial services products, services, operations with focus on sales, finance, and insurance
Ability to communicate value of products and services through dealer-facing training and cater to different audience
Public speaking/presentation skills via mobile, in-person, and virtual training delivery methods
Ability to confidently share knowledge and lead instructional sessions or training for peers and team members.
Demonstrated leadership and consultative selling skills
Automotive dealerships contact experience
Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
Work collaboratively with other team members
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
A degree in finance
Ability to build relationships with a broad audience both internal and external to Toyota, Lexus and private labels
