Position Summary
TPG is looking for an Event Manager to join TPG’s growing Global Events team full time in San Francisco. This person will manage standalone events across the firm (dinners, receptions, Field Ops meetings, investor conferences) and will support larger-scale complex conferences and events by assisting the Global Head of Events and team. The Senior Associate, Events Manager will also help to lead global event registration processes end-to-end from digital marketing asset creation and website development through RSVP management and reporting, collaborating with graphics and IT teams across the firm as well as third-party agency partners and technology solutions.
The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter and a team player with proven expert level competencies in event management and event technology platforms (STOVA, CVENT, etc.). This person must demonstrate confidence and communication skills, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with unconventional business hours.

Responsibilities
- Manage as well as provide support on event logistics for 12 – 15 live events annually across the firm from dinners and receptions to complex multi-day investor meetings with more than 500 attendees. This is inclusive of hotel and venue sourcing/contracting, AV and production coordination, food and beverage planning, transportation, VIP management, design and décor, and all other event components.
- Drive event timelines, budgets and processes, steering senior stakeholders and working groups on key deliverables and parameters, working closely with the VP and Global Head of Events to maintain visibility into event planning progression, budget status and client relationships.
- Act as Global Events operations lead owning team calendars, templates, invoicing, supplies as well as swag ideas and inventory.
- Work with in-house Graphics team to create all digital event marketing artwork and collateral. Create vanity email addresses and manage all event related mailboxes including all both routing and responding to incoming communications.
- Oversee event mobile app development, functionality and maintenance working closely with business stakeholders to build in content and value-add features.
- Manage event registration logistics inclusive of hotel rooming lists, travel manifests, onsite check-in set-up, staffing and experience, name badges, etc.
- Build and maintain strong network across senior leaders, business area hosts and other event support teams and stakeholders including comms, IT, graphics, security, legal and compliance, etc.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in event management/administration, preferably in the financial sector.
- Experience with event registration software (STOVA, CVENT, Concise, etc.) also preferred.
- Exhibits sound judgement, with a track record of engaging and building trust with senior executives. Can work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Business travel will be required as well as some evenings and weekend hours locally for onsite event management. Ability to work across geographies and time zones may be required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to manage highly sensitive information with complete discretion.
- Highly organized, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual that can multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
