Responsibility Statement
Handle the management, coordination, and deployment of equipment that is provided by the
owner’s vendors and contractors to the project site. This engineer’s primary role is to ensure that
Google’s infrastructure projects are equipped with reliable and well-maintained equipment,
contributing to smooth project execution and operation.
General Responsibilities
● Reports to MEP Manager
● Evaluate, submit, and track all owner furnished equipment, material and equipment shop
drawing submittals and coordinate assigned work with all trades.
● Coordinates the delivery/installation of all Owner Furnished Equipment that is delivered
to the project site.
● Coordinating with procurement and supply chain teams to source equipment
according to project requirements, ensuring compatibility and adherence to
standards
● Collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and vendors to plan and
schedule equipment delivery to align with project timelines.
● Verifying that received equipment meets Google’s specifications and quality
standards before installation.
● Organizing the transportation, delivery, and storage of equipment at project sites
while ensuring security and efficient handling.
● Provide support during installation and addressing any issues related to equipment
integration and performance.
● Identifying and mitigating risks associated with delays, equipment malfunctions,
or logistical challenges that could impact the project timeline.
● Prepare and manage the contract items list for all components, materials, and systems to
ensure that all Owner Furnished Equipment Required On Job (ROJ) dates are in
compliance with the project schedule with the appropriate approvals.
● Reviews contract documents including submittal review, shop drawings, specifications,
samples, product data, general contract, general conditions, and subcontracts for
compliance in addition to areas for quality to be a focus.
● Participates and conducts meetings as required for added coordination
● Audits first delivery materials inspections for conformance to specifications and contract
buy-out.
● Coordinates and communicates with trade partners– shop drawing and submittal review
and deliveries with respect to schedule
● Implements turnover procedures as directed by Engineering Manager and Controls
Manager
● Reviews mock up list and provides input on required mock-ups
● Participates in mockup/benchmarking and ensures that documentation (i.e.
pictures/signoff) is captured when the level of quality that the documents intend is met so
that future reference can be made.
● Conducts quality reviews and updates status of the construction documents.
● Assists the field as needed for identifying, enters, tracks and closes QC items
● Assists the field as needed for inspecting ongoing work and work in place, using site
specific checklists
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Utilizes leading-edge technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
