Position Description
Provide advice and solutions to commercial construction clients in compliance with client’s project and program insurance and surety requirements including, but not limited to, Corporate, Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP), Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP), Builders’ Risk, and Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI).

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
· Provide exceptional customer support related to various insurance and surety requests in compliance with clients’ respective program requirements, within commercial construction and across regional areas, and complete client requests in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
· Generate preliminary insurance and surety pricing for clients utilizing proprietary insurance systems.
· Leverage existing programs to procure and manage required insurance programs for clients.
· Conduct compliance and risk review of clients’ insurance policies as aligned with client program requirements.
· Assess clients’ project-specific insurance requirements and requests, conduct research and propose options for possible implementation working closely with Insurance Manager.
· Develop and assess insurance Origami data and develop ad hoc client reports, distribute monthly.
· Assist clients’ Financial and Operations teams to understand complex insurance concepts billing processes.
· Review and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) related to insurance and surety, including but not limited to, coverage requirements, pricing, and contract review.
· Train clients on basic information about insurance programs including Corporate, Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP), Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP), Builders’ Risk, and Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). Leverage existing training materials and provide training status updates to Project Risk Director.
· Assist clients’ Business Development teams with prompt, accurate, and thorough information about the various insurance programs supported by the company.
· May manage other Insurance Analysts and Coordinators. Deliver timely performance feedback to Insurance team and/or contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle.
· Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    · Minimum of 3 years of insurance or business-related experience required with Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Business, Insurance, Risk Management or relevant field desired, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
    · Possess current and maintain active professional designation such as ARM, CRIS or other relevant designation
    · Construction industry or related risk management experience, highly preferred
    · Knowledge of contracts, insurance policies, and related practices
    · Advanced technical knowledge of commercial insurance and surety products
    · Solid comprehension of commercial insurance and coverages as applicable to the construction and construction related industries, including but not limited to:
    o General Liability (Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Construction Defect)
    o Builders Risk (Client Programs, Owner Programs)
    o Workers’ Compensation
    o Wrap Up Programs (Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP)
    o Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP))
    o Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI)
    · Apply analytical thinking, use sound judgement for decision-making, and adept at breaking down data into actionable information
    · Professional customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to engage and work with wide range of stakeholders including leaders, clients, team members, brokers, vendors, subcontractors and individuals at all organizational levels, internally and externally
    · Engage professionally with others to address and discuss confidential information and explain complex insurance concepts to others with varying levels of insurance knowledge
    · Effective verbal communication delivery, training, and presentation skills
    · Written communication to include drafting language for contractual insurance reviews
    · Self-starter with strong project management skills and capable of managing concurrent complex projects and tasks successfully to completion
    · Ability to use resolution skills focused on addressing wide variety of client requests
    · Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and insurance-based risk management information systems
    · Limited travel: travel modes include air, train, vehicle

The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
