  • Annual base salary range for this position may be CA$86,000 to CA$101,000, depending on experience and fit.

THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

Turner Construction’s Vancouver office is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager for the SPO department. This role requires availability to work at the SPO warehouse, on-site, or at the head office, Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week, and reports to the SPO Manager. The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of tool and supply maintenance, as well as the storage facility, to support jobsite operations. As a Warehouse Manager, you will:

  • Create and maintain the tool and asset rental management system.
  • Work with the SPO Manager to strategize improvements to asset rental profitability.
  • Monitor asset tracking and depreciation.
  • Manage inventory of all tools, equipment, and supplies on jobsite.
  • Source bulk tool discounts and purchase orders.
  • Manage tool charge-out system and administer program per company policies.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit to account for all tools and material per company policies.
  • Engage with Accounting Department to generate invoices for all items rented or sold to projects.
  • Organize, coordinate and conduct inspections and repairs of all tools and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Oversee delivery and pickup of inventory from jobsites.
  • Manage laborers and carpenters for delivery and equipment movement tasks.
  • Schedule and track job site scrap-outs.
  • Track and schedule truck maintenance.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Is this the right role for you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program and minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of construction tools and supplies, preferred.
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Negotiate and collaborate with others.
  • Work independently and as part of team.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and MS Office.
  • Travel may be required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Performance of the duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilitie s required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop , kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
