We are seeking a highly organized, thorough and technically proficient Operations Associate to join our team. In this role, you will perform critical middle-office functions and contribute to projects and initiatives that support Two Sigma Securities’ core business operations. The position offers broad exposure to various markets and opportunities to collaborate across Modeling/Trading, Engineering, and Corporate. You will have the following responsibilities:
- Resolve trade breaks in coordination with clearing brokers and counterparties
- Perform daily and month-end reconciliation of positions, cash and P&L against broker and administrator records
- Ensure trading systems apply reconciled data and that all operational procedures and risk controls are accurately maintained
- Analyze and process corporate actions
- Monitor and resolve locates and potential buy-ins
- Find opportunities to build new tools and improve existing process flows and controls
- Provide operational support to trading desks
- Coordinate cross-functional processes and projects with internal and external partners
- Assist with the onboarding of new strategies and business initiatives
You must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a strong academic record
- 2-5 years of operations experience at a trading firm
- Experience with equities, options, futures and swap products across the full trade lifecycle
- Ability to navigate technological workflows across multiple platforms
- Comfort working with large data sets to identify patterns and irregularities
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Collaborative approach to problem solving
- Understanding of risk management as it relates to trade support and execution
- Proven reliability, sound judgment, and accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg
Preferred Qualifications:
- FINRA Series 7 or Series 99 license
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau and LLMs
