Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to translate diverse requirements into unique solutions that will transform U.S. Bank customer experience.
  • Design and build solutions that are aligned with U.S. Bank enterprise technology strategy.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and educating other developers for best practices on application design and development.
  • Manage relationships with business lines, architects, and engineering managers.
  • Build consensus around solutions that benefit the organization.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Ability to build complex apps using React.
  • Hands on programing experience with Java/J2EE, React, Spring Boot, Spark /Scala
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners and independently drive projects and decisions.
  • Strong experience in API design, patterns and best-practices in REST, JSON, Microservices, etc.
  • Knowledge of data management principles.
  • Experience working with the following cloud platforms – AWS and Azure
  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle).
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies and software development life cycle

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $91,290.00 - $107,400.00 - $118,140.00
