U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer – AEM in Overland Park, Kansas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer – AEM will be responsible for leading the design and development of Adobe Experience Manager (“AEM”) solutions, integrating complex components to meet client requirements, and enhancing functionality of U.S. Bank’s Business Banking products segment. The Senior Software Engineer – AEM will analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. All the development or coding needs in AEM will be fulfilled by the Senior Software Engineer – AEM. This position will consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Additional responsibilities include the following: developing and maintaining AEM components and templates using Java, Sling, Sightly (HTL), and other related technologies in which components can be specific to 'Business Banking' as well as reusable in other product segments; developing or directing software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation; integrating AEM with external systems and services via RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality to render the dynamic information in components; conducting unit testing and debugging of AEM components and functionalities; utilizing tools such as JUnit for backend testing and browser developer tools for frontend issues; writing and implementing custom code for AEM applications, including Sling servlets, Java classes, and client-side scripts (JavaScript) to meet specific business requirements such as dynamic rate displays, and product specific rate calculators; providing technical leadership and guidance to the other AEM development teams, and setting best practices and standards for AEM implementation and integration; recommending the latest features in AEM such as Launches and Sling Context Aware configs; overseeing the implementation of security best practices in AEM projects; reviewing the code merge requests, analyzing the SonarQube code quality reports, and other security vulnerabilities; implementing the code fixes to resolve the vulnerabilities; addressing complex technical issues and providing solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of AEM environments; and supporting the infrastructure team in early resolution of any high priority issues. Supervises four (4) total AEM Developers. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, or related.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: leading a delivery team and performing responsibilities including task delegation, mentoring, and strategic oversight; managing onshore/offshore models; analyzing, designing, developing, administrating, and integrating of distributed architecture applications in web-based Content Management applications with Adobe AEM Content Management System and Adobe Digital Marketing Suite; installing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting knowledge of enterprise-level monitoring and management utilizing Unix/Linux OS environments; designing, developing, and implementing of Adobe's AEM; designing and improving internal development methodologies around Adobe AEM solution; creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; J2EE architecture; Java; HTML; CSS; SQL; PL/SQL; HTL; JavaScript; and OSGi. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
