Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Copywriter/Associate Creative Director (ACD) to join our dynamic in-house team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advertising and social media, with a proven track record of leading creative projects and managing other writers. Experience in financial services and branding is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead writer for our in-house creative team, developing compelling and effective copy for a variety of channels including digital, print, social media, and integrated campaigns.
  • Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other team members to create cohesive and impactful campaigns that align with our brand strategy and business goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of copywriters, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deliverables are on-brand, on-time, and meet the highest standards of creativity and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all communications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and proactively bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the team.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives, and translate them into compelling creative solutions.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with AI technologies and an openness to exploring new approaches and tools to enhance creative processes and outcomes.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and a willingness to explore and implement new tech-driven approaches.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in copywriting, with a strong portfolio showcasing integrated and social campaign work.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring other writers.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and the ability to create content that aligns with brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $117,725.00 - $138,500.00
