Job Description

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Consultant with strategic and influencing experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Consults on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging technologies. Reviews high-risk technology projects for compatibility with IT standards and strategic direction. Consults with IT management and technical staff regarding use of current technologies. Recommends technology alternatives, providing clear alignment of the technology's strengths and weaknesses against the business objectives. Participates in evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging tools and techniques. Evaluates compliance with current and future technology standards and portfolios. Analyzes market trends and experiences with new and emerging technologies. Keeps current with existing standards and thoroughly understands the risks associated with bypassing the standards. Provides input and suggestions to improve the usability of the standard and to drive it forward. Maintains relationships with key vendors. Monitors the architecture of the vendor's offering to ensure continued compatibility of the U.S. Bank technology portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies
  • At least 8 years of experience with developing and implementing facilities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Familiarity with IT standards, procedures, and policy development.
  • Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance experience
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and configurations standards
  • Familiarity with patch and compliance routines and how they are tracked and measured
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies
  • Strong understanding of public cloud DevOps concepts.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
