Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Data Analytics Director – VP to lead cloud migration efforts across EACX. This role will oversee a team of expert professionals and serve as a senior consultant and coach, guiding the enterprise-wide transition of analytics use cases from on-premises environments to modern cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cloud technologies, data governance, and analytics workflows—particularly within marketing and banking domains. This position requires a seasoned leader who can foster cross-functional collaboration, drive adoption of best practices, and ensure the reliability and scalability of cloud-based analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Coaching

    • Lead and mentor a team of senior analytics professionals.

    • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Cloud Migration Strategy

    • Oversee the migration of analytics use cases (e.g., data mining, auditing, validation, reconciliation) from SAS, Alteryx, and Power BI to cloud-native tools.

    • Provide consultation on cloud architecture, tools, and patterns using Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure ML.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with teams across EACX to understand business needs and data workflows.

    • Build strong relationships with business line product owners, data engineers, and analysts to ensure successful cloud adoption.

  • Governance & Data Quality

    • Develop and monitor governance frameworks and data quality standards for shared cloud environments.

    • Ensure critical data is available, reliable, and aligned with SLAs

  • Operational Oversight

    • Manage intake and backlog prioritization for cloud migration initiatives.

    • Remove roadblocks and evangelize preferred patterns and practices.

Key Deliverables

  • Migration success of on-prem use cases to cloud platforms.

  • Documentation, training, and enablement materials for stakeholders.

  • Governance infrastructure for cloud analytics solutions.

  • SLA-aligned data availability and quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, statistics, or data science.

  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms and tools: Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory.

  • Familiarity with legacy tools: SAS, Alteryx, Power BI.

  • Deep understanding of marketing workflows and banking datasets.

  • Experience with relational databases (DB2, Postgres, Greenplum, SQL Server, Azure).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working in agile environments.

  • GitHub experience is a plus.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
