Your role

Are you interested in developing Accounting & Subledger solutions using the latest technologies? Are you confident at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity? Do you like to be challenged and encouraged to learn and grow professionally?

We are looking for software engineers to:
• provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
• design, plan and deliver sustainable reporting solutions using Java and modern programming languages
• provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications.
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production.

Your team

You will be working in the Accounting & Subledger crew in GF Tech in Pune . We provide IT solutions to our business counterparts for ledger level reporting and to external regulators (e.g., Federal Reserve, Bank of England, Monetary Authority of Singapore, RBI etc.)

Your expertise

• be a strong team player with software engineer/developer focused on developing 4+years of experience Java/J2EE solutions within the finance sector.
• proven hands-on software development Experience with strong at writing well designed, testable efficient code.
• experience with WebLogic 11+, EJB, Java Messaging, IBM MQ.
• excellent knowledge of Relational Databases viz Oracle, SQL and ORM technologies.
• understanding of task orchestration frameworks and understanding of the Accounting Principles, Bookkeeping & Subledger/Ledger.
• experience with Agile Methodology; Familiar with JIRA/ Gitlab workflow and familiar with SDLC and software development best practices, including version control and CI/CD.
• familiar with Linux environment including Oracle PL SQL, Shell Scripting, Python, Informatica knowledge is a advantage.
• bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent with a focus in computer science or engineering with fluent in English, both written and spoken
