We’re looking for a Devops Engineer to:

• maintain and support test environments for a business-critical system, depended on by a broad global userbase
• implement best practices for environment setup, configuration management, and deployment processes
• collaborate with development (in house & 3rd party product vendor) to improve environment reliability, update practices, and contribute to redesign of system for better scalability and maintainability
• write, maintain, and improve technical documentation, including system architectures, process flows, environment configurations and support procedures ensuring clarity and accessibility for other team members
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our test environments by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the GCRG Risk Assessment & Measurement team in Pune focusing on maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Measurement System (ERMS) platform. ERMS is an integrated, global, enterprise-wide tool for managing audit and operational risk, including Issues, Audits, Controls, Events, Risk Assessments and Policies.

Aside from your direct team, this role brings the opportunity to interact with support team members in Poland, Switzerland, Singapore, and US, as well as an active global user base, so if you are interested in meeting people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures then this could be for you!

Your expertise

• ideally 5+ years of experience in a similar position focused on maintaining test environments hosted in Linux operating systems
• broad technical skillset including deep knowledge of Linux operating systems as well as hands-on working knowledge of Java, Apache web server & Tomcat, Kafka
• experience scripting in one or more of the following: Perl, Python, Bash
• detailed understanding and experience working with DevOps pipelines, and hands-on expertise with configuration management tools, specifically Puppet
• strong communicator, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently analyse and address issues in time sensitive situations
• proven track record of process simplification through redesign and/or automation
• prior experience and product knowledge of MetricStream Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) application would be advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
