Your role

Are you looking for an agile working environment where you will be able to implement your subject matter expertise to provide the best user experience? Would you like to have the opportunity to support managing a team of UX Designers in Wrocław? This is your chance to work within our Agile Delivery Organization, collaborating closely with product managers, UX researchers, engineers, data analysts and other UX experts to focus on a common goal.

As a UX design operations team leader, your role involves:

• leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary offshore design team in Wrocław, providing user experience design skills to the onshore product design teams in Zurich
• supporting the team in developing interaction models and user interface designs for financial solutions across various platforms
• teaching the team to create wireframes and storyboards using prototyping skills and visual elements in Figma
• driving experience design maturity by fostering a strong design thinking and growth mindset within the team
• supporting and developing the central DesignOps team in Wrocław, with responsibilities including budget management, contract management, and overall administration of our design teams in Wrocław and Zurich
• managing and developing our design tool portfolio to ensure our designers have access to state-of-the-art tools, with a focus on Figma
• managing a dual reporting line structure
• taking responsibility for the offshore administrative reporting line (as the line manager for designers based in Wrocław)
• collaborating closely with the onshore functional product design team managers in Zurich, responsible for design output and quality within a specific product design team
• reporting to the location delivery head in Wrocław and functionally reporting to the design center head in Zurich

The Experience Design Center of Excellence (CoE) is made up of passionate experts in all areas and levels of customer experience design:
• product designers
• strategic designers
• data experts
• UX researchers
• UX writers
• conversion optimization specialists
• design systems and design operations professionals
Our goal is to create the best digital experience for clients. We constantly listen, learn, and co-create with them, always iterating and improving.
You will work in the Channels & Platforms team in our Wrocław office. Working hours can be split between the UBS office and a work-from-home setup.

Your expertise

• at least 10 years of experience in UX Design, Interaction and/or Visual Design
• proven track record of leading an experience design team
• demonstrable experience working as a designer on software products
• proficiency with design tools (e.g. Figma)
• strong set of design skills, including research, service
• familiarity with the aspects of the UX spectrum - discovery and exploration, user research, information architecture, user testing, A/B testing, user journeys
• degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Consumer Behavior, Marketing, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• fluent English
