Your role

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a track record of delivering process and operational change? Are you a financial professional and want to play a key role in the drive towards operational excellence? If so, we would like to meet you as we are looking for someone like you to support our Data Management Office (DMO)organization.
Data Management has emerged across the financial services industry and beyond as one of the key-most enablers of efficient and effective processing, and of high-quality outputs. As an industry leader in the space, UBS is continually evolving and enhancing its data management practices and is currently looking for the right individual to support the design and deployment of the next evolution of its data quality framework. We're essentially looking for an individual, with the drive and talent to help us deliver on our vision of building the most efficient, effective, sustainable, and trusted data environment possible.

In specific your role consists in:
• Work with a variety of teams (Reference Data Operations, Third Party Vendor management, Group Corporate Services, Risk and Group Resilience, etc.) to identify and priorities their data quality issues through as systematic approach of assessing key output, key processes, and key master source applications
• Support your stakeholder to identify certify and register key data assets (Key data elements, Master Sources, data quality controls etc.) and assist the teams with the annual data asset attestation process
• Coordinate the review of data quality metrics (data integrity, data quality monitoring, cloud data transparency) and inform decision on improvements where necessary in a continuous dialogue with your direct stakeholders, as well as with the upstream producer of data that your stakeholder consume
• Collect and structure the demand from your stakeholder towards Central Group DMO services for data quality management, training and engagement and others
• Work with your stakeholders and the Central Group DMO to define roadmaps for remediation of any controls and data quality gaps
• Monitor plans and provide status updates to senior stakeholders for their risk meetings and their strategic planning and investments

Your team

You will be working in Chief Data & Information office (CDIO) Non-Tech Data Management Office (DMO). The role sits in the CDIO Chie Operating Officer (COO), in a team that looks after Data Management Analytics and Automation, which is operated out of Zurich, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Singapore. Your partnering teams are in other locations as well as in other Functions such as Finance, Risk, etc. and Businesses Divisions such as Investment Banking, Wealth Management, etc. who have similar team and constructs that ours. Additionally, our team works in close collaboration with UBS Group DMO in a federated model. Group DMO is the hub, centrally providing policy and standards and leading the definition of the firm's enterprise-wide data strategy and proactively challenging the way the firm works with data. Our team is one of the 10 spokes in the Firm looking after the implementation of the Data Management Framework

Your expertise

You should have:
• minimum 3-4 years of work experience in a financial institution with a background of business analysis and a passion for data
• thorough understanding of change management processes able to work with a variety of senior stakeholder
• able to cope with a dynamic and changing environment
• communicative, independent, and proactive personality
• consensus driven yet assertive to lead to successful delivery
• able to challenge taken approaches, opinions and concepts while integrating input from stakeholders for successful delivery
• excellent MS Office skills especially MS PowerPoint and advanced MS Excel knowledge is a must as well as Tableau and/or PowerBI
• excellent English skills (speaking and writing)
• experience to work in an international environment
