We’re looking for an Associate Director, Securities Specialist to be:
• Responsible for the day-to-day settlement processes for Equities and Fixed income Securities across the different markets with respect to buy-in related fails.
• Oversee daily settlement transactions across multiple UBS entities transacting in global markets.
• Manage potential buy-ins issued against UBS and securities inventory by issuing buy-ins to counterparties failing into UBS, as well as any trade fails and exception management associated with these activities.
• Monitor and manage fails from a Regulation of Short Sales 204 perspective and non-204 related Buy-Ins.
• Help drive interactions with different operations groups globally to provide client service to external clients, internal stakeholders, and supporting stakeholders.
• Develop valuable internal and external relationships with employees of varying seniority.

Your expertise
• This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Technology Management, Finance, or a related field of study and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as an Associate Analyst, or a related occupation.
• The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a Business Administration, Technology Management, Finance, or a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate Analyst, or a related occupation.
• Position requires experience with the following:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Depository trust and clearing (DTC)
• Finance industry and financial products
• Researching financial concepts
• Rollout and integration product knowledge
• Risk assessment and management
• Broker/dealer operations concepts including Stock Record, Segregation, and Trade Lifecycle
• Industry and market driven initiatives to understand risks and impacts
• Designing and operating the effectiveness of key controls and processes
• Collaborating across functions to deliver strategic projects and change
