Your role

Would you like to play a central role in shaping the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at UBS? As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be a key contributor to the development of our AI and data science capabilities and will be particularly responsible for:

• implementing AI use cases (Generative and Traditional AI) that are highly relevant across various areas for UBS Switzerland, with a strong focus on customer benefits and business impact.
• modeling complex relationships by independently developing analytical and predictive models to validate hypotheses and derive insights.
• building and further developing our AI capabilities beyond individual use cases to sustainably build expertise and achieve broad impact.
• providing technical leadership and guidance for a team of data scientists to ensure projects are implemented efficiently and effectively.
• supporting the implementation of AI use cases in various domains focused on creating substantial value for clients and UBS employees.

Your expertise

We are looking for an entrepreneurial person with a lot of drive and a desire to shape things. Ideally, you have:

• several years of experience in developing analytical models and applying modern data science methods in a business environment.
• an excellent understanding of modern analytics methods and, ideally, their applications in the banking environment.
• a high level of initiative and personal motivation to drive topics independently and goal-oriented with a strong focus on business impact.
• leadership experience and the ability to technically lead and motivate a team of data scientists in cross-functional project setups.
• an excellent relationship builder with communication capabilities towards business stakeholders and senior management having the capability to present complex analyses in business terms
• passionate about working in an interdisciplinary, fast environment, and balancing well between finding consensus as part of a larger team and living up to a can-do attitude
• fluent in English
