Your role

UBS is seeking a Data Center Governance and Engineering Specialist to ensure the highest standards of governance and engineering practices within our global data center infrastructure and operations. The successful candidate will oversee governance across the entire lifecycle of data centers, coordinate surveys, manage audits, and shape the design strategy. This specialist role demands a candidate with an expert understanding of MEPF systems, data center build-outs, and maintenance & operations (M&O), complemented by a robust capability in risk management.

You will do:
• develop a comprehensive technical requirements roadmap that is in line with the strategic objectives of UBS
data centers, ensuring future-readiness and scalability
• conceptualize, design, and prototype data and management information (MI) mockups to support enhanced
decision-making and operational efficiency across data center operations
• lead the cyber alarm routing process, including the configuration, escalation, and resolution of alerts, to
uphold the highest standards of data security and integrity
• spearhead platform implementation projects from inception to completion, ensuring the seamless integration
of new technologies that contribute positively to the operational landscape of the data center

Your team

You will be working in Data Center Services Infrastructure Standards, Control & Governance team in India

Key Responsibilities:
• implement and monitor data center governance protocols across all life cycle stages, ensuring compliance and operational excellence
• coordinate insurance surveys, working closely with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure all data center risks are assessed and mitigated
• manage Data Center Audits conducted by third parties, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to UBS standards
• perform Audits at smaller Data Center internally, establishing a rigorous self-audit framework to maintain continual compliance and performance
• serve as the Engineering Services Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing high-level technical guidance and support
• act as a coordinator for third-party engineering support, ensuring that all engineering services are integrated and aligned with operational needs
• identify and manage risks associated with data center operations, collaborating with relevant teams to develop and coordinate risk management strategies
• continuous Improving of Audit-, Risk- and Engineering processes and systems

Your expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Building Services (MEPF) Engineering or a related field, with a preference for advanced - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a data center or critical infrastructure environment
• attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review and audit engineering processes and documentation
• analytical skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess compliance and performance data
• risk management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with building services
• project management: Skills in planning and managing audit projects and governance initiatives
• continuous improvement: Commitment to improving processes and systems for better compliance and performance
• interpersonal skills: Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including engineers, management, and regulatory bodies
