We’re searching for an AML & Due Diligence Specialist to:

• Be a competent contact person for our UBS Asset Management colleagues to provide guidance regarding AML/KYC related topics, interact with clients and ensure AML/KYC documentation is properly done
• Perform initial and ongoing due diligence for our global clients of UBS Asset Management, including to perform name and media screening, to identify and verify contracting partners and beneficial owners, to create comprehensive Know your Client profiles, to ensure information is properly processed and documented
• Perform enhanced due diligence regarding high and higher risk client relationships and contribute to UBS Asset Management’s risk management
• Implementation and management of internal processes for approval and risk management
• Perform ongoing due diligence by periodically submitting clients through business relationship reviews, performing transaction monitoring, flagging the need of AML investigation on suspicious activities
• Capturing core operational data and documents, archiving of evidence / legal agreements.
• Contribute to and potentially lead projects

Your team

You’ll be part of the Client Service function and working in the Asset Management AML/KYC team in Wroclaw, Poland. As a AML & Due Diligence specialist you work as a gatekeeper in preventing money laundering, corruption and the financing of terrorism. Hence, you’ll play an important role detecting and preventing illicit activities and protecting UBS Asset Management.

Your team is part of Client Coverage within UBS Asset Management. Our business offers industry leading capabilities on a truly global scale. With over 1.8 trillion* in invested assets, we are the third largest Europe-based asset manager and the number 12 firm globally. Client Coverage is the sales organization driving the growth of our business by building relationships with Clients (*as of 31 Dec 2024)

Your expertise

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in banking, finance, law, international business or equivalent
• Business fluent in English and German or French
• Ideally you worked in a similar role previously between 3 to 7 years
• Practical knowledge of relevant AML/CFT laws and guidelines
• Understanding of and sound interest in financial services and instruments (e.g., bonds, securities, derivatives FX, corporate actions) and relevant involved parties
• Able to think creatively, flexibly and logically with a positive can-do attitude
• Interested in digitalization and an affinity with technology
• Clear and effective communicator
