We’re looking for a software Engineer to:
• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Your team
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods
You’ll be working in the Managing Investments Technology team focusing on providing high quality technology solutions to support Portfolio Management and Trading across UBS Asset Management
You will be part of a pod working in agile ways of working to deliver a first-class scalable, digital and integrated Multi-Asset Portfolio Management and Trading support platform, specifically working on initiatives to Automate business processes and help alleviate and save manual hours of the Middle office teams who now work off spreadsheets and emails. The main role would be to augment a team to help migrate certain BOTS written in Python today to make them more efficient using Rest API’s to connect to external Order management systems and have the data collated presented in Power BI. In addition as part of future strategic alignments, there would be opportunities to work in migrating existing CS applications written in Dynamics 365 and Power platforms into UBS developing from scratch with design changes. These would have to be delivered within a stipulated timeline to complete Integration activities and provide enhancements and support going forward too
Your expertise
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
• lead the design and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions ensuring they meet business needs and are scalable, secure and maintainable
• provide hands on as well as technical leadership and direction to developers, guiding them in best practices for solution design, development, and integration
• extensive hands-on experience with D365 modules and proven ability to customize and configure D365 to meet specific business requirements
• deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI with a strong understanding of how to build custom applications, automate workflows and create insightful dashboards and reports
• proficiency in integrating D365 and Power Platform with other enterprise systems using tools such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory and custom APIs
• ability to lead and oversee the development of custom solutions, including plug-ins, custom workflows, and client-side scripting
• good functional and hands-on experience of Python development
• experience with Gitlab will be an added advantage
• strong experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL server to help move from On-prem to Azure and familiarity with other database technologies in Cloud or NoSQL
• agile, Test Driven Development and DevOps practices are part of your DNA
• a Software Craftsperson focused on engineering best practices and delivering Clean Code
• good communication skills – both written and verbal.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you like to figure out how things work
• keen interest in understanding how the business works
• passion for learning and innovation
