Your role

Responsible for delivering value-added, personalized event specific and comprehensive wealth structuring strategies and solutions through the Client Advisors to clients, addressing their present and future needs of planning of financial, tax, estate and insurance related matters. The key focus is on advisory and acquisition support. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Work closely within a cluster of wealth planners covering a specific Greater China market supporting the use of trust instruments, referral of life insurance and other related solutions
• Support actively Wealth Planners and Client Advisors in client meetings including all preparatory work, following up with client issues and execution of transactions (good written Chinese skills essential given clients' preference)
• More experienced candidate will be expected to be also a direct partner to Client Advisors supporting new client relationship in wealth planning related matters
• Follow relevant market developments by applying their specific knowledge of legal political tax and economic circumstances to client situations
• Develop contacts with external professionals for the purpose of delivering client-oriented solutions
• Ensure proper monitoring and control of the wealth planning business and compliance with the bank's general and wealth planning specific standards and policies
• Provide internal wealth planning technical and application training

Your team

You’ll be working as part of the Advisory and Sales Wealth Planning Team, North Asia. We actively support Client Advisors in client meetings, presentations and marketing activities relating to wealth and succession planning. We follow tax and economic developments in specific countries and apply this knowledge to client situations whilst ensuring that our wealth planning business continues meeting the bank's general and wealth planning specific standards and policies.

Your expertise

Enjoys working in a highly dynamic environment, is a good team player, can work independently, have the ability to make sound decisions and give clear direction and reports. The candidate must seek continuous improvements to quality and efficiency, with the following profile:
• Demonstrate commitment to professional and ethical standards with high integrity
• Enthusiastic self-starter who shows high level of drive and energy and speaks with conviction and confidence
• Excellent communication and sales skills with ability to express things simply while maintaining a focused and controlled discussion
• Good financial skills relating to banking generally but specifically tax, estate and succession
• Travelling may be required depending on coverage
• University degree in finance or law preferred with either a relevant professional qualification or in the process of completing STEP diploma
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese)
