Your role

Are you good at identifying, assessing, and effectively mitigating risks? Are you confident to manage a variety of risk related topics independently. Do you have strong planning and communication skills?

We are looking for someone like you to:

• maintain the principles of good supervision, overseeing key risk initiatives and ensuring processes are designed and are operating effectively.
•Uphold a strong risk culture, ensuring that staff members maintain the highest standards of integrity, and that Conduct, Supervision & People Risks are identified and escalated.
• Support the Senior Management Team in ensuring that governance and oversight protocols are maintained, Creating packs and minutes of Governance meetings and ensuring they are circulated on a timely basis.
Be responsible for maintaining the Jersey BRO control framework, completing period KPCI assessments, trend analysis and executive summaries.
Manage the NFR framework. Escalate issues and trends and support the business in putting remediation plans in place , monitoring and overseeing actions to completion.
• participate in project management activities and successfully manage the implementation and rollout of project deliverables into the business (risk) organization.
• Supervision of internal and external audit reviews. Providing SME support and knowledge.

You’ll be working in the BRO team in Jersey, and you'll play an important role in maintaining our risk and control framework . You’ll be part of a small team who collaborates with all areas of the Jersey business . Our combined efforts help maintain maintain a strong risk culture in WM Jersey.

Your expertise

• proven experience in risk management practices with sound knowledge of investment products and services.
• understanding of the UBS Cross Border Framework.
• good knowledge of US persons Policy and Fiscal Compliance initiatives.
• flexible mindset and ability to work to multiple deadlines simultaneously
• strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• confident to present in risk forums and collaborate with various teams, stakeholders, and senior management
• organized and questioning with the ability to work autonomously on a variety of risk topics.
• ability to grasp new topics quickly, prioritize, problem-solve, and propose risk based solutions
