Your role

• Design and implementation of internal control procedures pursuant to UBS key procedural controls requirements
• Manage internal and external client queries, issues and complaints
• Ensure compliance with operational, legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure adherence to required training
• Review and approve transactional business for cash EQ and ETD
• Oversee operational risks and escalate issues; ensure adherence of control procedure
• Comply and meet quarterly ICAP (Internal Control Assessment Process) assessment and ensure all evidences are available to substantiate the operating effectiveness of controls
and are in compliance to UBS Control standards for design effectiveness of the controls.
• Oversee audit process and requirement
• Ensure operational excellence and solve any issues that arise
• Coach and educate Ops staff on administrative, operational policies, procedures and risk management
• Ensure compliance with internal control process and regulations;
• Ensures timely escalation to local and regional management, regulatory and other concerns which may expose the firm to significant risk
• Close monitor on the process errors, exceptional incidents, regulatory changes, analyse business impacts and communicate with the relevant functions;
• Document the up-to date Ops procedures and control process to ensure integrity and improved efficiency.
• Timely and efficient clearing and settlement of all transactions.
• Quality submission of regulatory reports
• Help drive automation initiatives

The objective is to support the UBS Group by fostering a lean, cost-effective, and professional operational environment, ensuring that appropriate system infrastructure and services are in place to meet business needs, and enabling the effective execution of strategic initiatives and business plans.
