We are looking for someone who can:
• Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and implementing the strategic plans and priorities of the APAC Global Markets business in conjunction with business heads. This includes sourcing and analysing detailed information / data to provide business updates on financial performance, strategy and business cases across the region
• Decision-Making Support: Synthesize multiple points of information, provide insights and make recommendations to senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Management Rhythm: Prepare the Co-Heads of APAC Global Markets for senior management forums and meetings, including preparation of staff announcements, townhalls and newsletters.
• Workforce Planning: Support the workforce planning process, including the co-ordination of the graduate and intern placements in conjunction with HR
• Employee Engagement: Initiate and drive employee engagement and talent management initiatives across the region
• Perform analysis of competitive position including market share
• Perform expenses analysis and provide timely reporting to track adherence to policy and aid in improving business performance
• Partner with team members in the Chief of Staff and COO teams, both locally and globally, to manage key projects and initiatives

Your team
You’ll be working in the APAC Global Markets Chief of Staff team and be based in Hong Kong reporting to the Business Manager APAC Global Markets Chief of Staff. The Global Markets business includes the business areas of Execution Services, Derivatives & Solutions and Financing and has a presence across 13 locations in APAC. The Chief of Staff's role is to support the APAC Co-Heads of Global Markets in all aspects of organizing and running the business, including strategic planning and analysis, workforce planning, ensuring the Business Heads are prepared for senior management forums, regulatory and other key meetings, writing Townhall presentations, taking ownership for employee engagement initiatives and working closely with the other Management Forum members across the region.
Your expertise
• over 2+ years of experience working within Global Markets and/or in a business management/ financial services / strategy consulting role in support of senior leaders is preferrable
• strong financial background with ability to analyse data
• excellent attention to detail
• strong communication skills
• able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• ability to build relationships and become a trusted point of contact to provide guidance and support across all levels of seniority
• a problem solver
• numerate, with strong verbal and written communication
• highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• proactive, pragmatic and a self-starter
• comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• embrace a flexible workday and able to juggle multiple deliverables and effectively prioritise
• eager to learn about the business, our people and the environment we operate in
• adaptable and able to challenge ideas and grasp new concepts quickly
