We are looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial self-starter to join UBS Asset Management’s Sustainable Investing and Impact team in Poland. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainable investing.

We’re looking for a quantitative analyst to:

• contribute to data science projects in sustainable investing across all asset classes
• develop and maintain dashboards and business solutions covering ESG data
• conduct portfolio and fund analysis for investment teams on ESG exposure, exclusions and regulatory changes
• analyze novel ESG-related data sets and contribute to quantitative research projects in close collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts
• develop and support investment signals for ESG-related applications
• perform ESG data quality checks and reviews
• coordinate ESG data contract management logistics

Your team

You will become a member of the Sustainable Investing team operating within UBS Asset Management’s Investments function. The Sustainable Investing team is a center of expertise comprised of research analysts, stewardship analysts, SI investment specialist and quantitative analyst roles. The SI team is global with resources in APAC, Europe and the US. The role is located with the team in Kraków. The role reports into the Head of SI Quant.

Your expertise

You have:

• At least 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, programming and developing business solutions
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, economics, econometrics, computer science, mathematics)
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with popular data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn)
• Experience creating visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
• Previous exposure to machine learning, financial modelling and backtesting projects is a plus
• Basic familiarity with version control systems (Git), SQL (PostgreSQL), orchestration tools (Apache Airflow) cloud services (Azure) and Linux terminal is a plus
• Understanding of the asset management industry, investments and portfolio management preferred but not essential
• Experience in sustainable investing preferred but not essential
• A passion for sustainability and advancing the topic in the financial industry for real world outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently; strong project management skills a plus
