Your role
In this role you will be part of the Group External Communications team during a pivotal time for the bank, providing hands-on support across several key briefs.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
• producing briefing materials for public events, media interviews and background conversations in which the Chairman and the Group CEO participate
• managing content and logistical arrangements related to these events, aligning with the Group CEO office, subject matter experts within UBS and external event organizers
• being responsible for other tasks, e.g. such related to quarterly results communications, media planning, presentation development, the coordination of media engagements and the monitoring of the media relations inbox and hotline
• depending on the candidates’ experience, skills set and aspirations, additional responsibilities can be added to the portfolio

Your team
Group External Communications is a small team that works closely with the bank’s senior leadership, various teams in Group Corporate Communications and others to design and implement UBS’s external positioning.
The team advises on and implements communications with global media organizations to manage executive positioning, corporate, financial and regulatory topics, as well as legal matters.
This is a platform to build up a career within a dynamic environment as the bank executes the integration of Credit Suisse.
Your expertise
• at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Journalism, International Relations, Communications, Public Affairs or a related field
• existing experience in communications, journalism or communications consulting, preferably related to financial services
• ability to quickly grasp technical content related to banking regulations and economic matters
• an understanding of the Swiss and international media landscape
• full professional fluency in English, ideally also in German, both spoken and written
• strong dedication and high reliability, good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform efficiently under pressure and in fast-paced environments
