Chapter Lead for Database Crew


We’re looking for a Crew Chapter Lead to:

• act as people and development manager to the Database Crew, be a mentor supporting growth and career progression and ensure high standards of the Database Crew is applied across the crew
• support and enable the chapter with new / emerging practices, learning opportunities and capability building
• connect chapters to the wider UBS community of guilds, engage as thought and action leader beyond the borders of the crew
• work with Crew Leads and Agile coaches to understand and resolve challenges, opportunities and areas of collaboration
• support the broader strategy and goals of their organization to ensure chapter members are equipped to understand in their context
• act as people and development managers, providing support and mentoring to enable our people to grow and progress

As Crew Chapter Lead, you will be leading the members of the Database team across engineering & reliability areas.

Your expertise

• strong servant leader who can garner respect from individuals, puts their needs first, and with an attitude of transparency. Strong written and verbal communicator
• multi-year engineering experience and imparts knowledge of broad range of engineering practices, from analyzing requirements and developing new features to automated testing, deployment, and operations
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
