Your role

Do you want an opportunity to work across different sales team(s) and business stakeholders to support the Global Markets Distribution business to meet its non-financial risk requirements? Are you skilled at assessing processes and making improvements?

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to support, execute and help manage our risks within the Global Markets business. This will include helping reduce and remediate our non-financial and operational risks.

The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• supporting the operations of our third-party intermediary governance forum, ensuring a strong governance structure, including documenting meeting discussion and decisions, tracking of actions and ensuring timely resolution
• ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the onboarding and periodic review processes for third-party intermediaries
• implementing areas for development within the Distribution business as they relate to regulatory implementation and/or business efficiency
• executing the controls relating to Distribution, as well as identifying opportunities to improve our processes, including suggesting recommendations on control from both a design and operating effectiveness
• working closely with senior stakeholders from various functions (e.g. Sales, Structuring, Compliance & Legal)
• provide support to Distribution COOs on various control improvements and remediation initiatives

Your team

You’ll be working in the COO team in Shanghai. The Distribution COO team is a highly strategic and cross-functional team that is responsible for the formulation, implementation and support of the key client-focused initiatives, and processes that impact our client’s experience. Members of the team will have broad exposure across the Global Markets business, often collaborating and partnering with sales teams, management, and support teams. The team has a strong focus on People Culture and Development

Your expertise

• strong focus, drive and commitment, good attention to detail and track record in getting jobs done on time and to a high standard (a commercial ‘can-do’ approach)
• strong organizational and time management skills
• ability to communicate and work with stakeholders and team members across all areas of the bank and of various levels of seniority
• experience with regulatory implementation, client suitability review, product governance and/or knowledge of structured products would be an advantage
• excellent analytical skills; proficiency in excel, power point. Knowledge of Alteryx would be an advantage
• comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment
• proficient in both spoken and written English
