UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in Nashville, TN

We’re looking for a Director, Software Engineer to:
• Lead the delivery of automated ETL and reporting solutions relevant for US regulatory requirements like Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR).
• Effectively conduct workshops with Business and Technology stakeholders to solicit future state and detailed requirements. Synthesize complex information and requirements and lead complex technical implementations.
• Liaise with project stakeholders across technology delivery teams, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Data Office, Business and Analytics teams gaining go forward decisions and signoffs. Provide technical leadership in design and development activities on concurrent complex technology and data projects with multi-source, on and offshore teams.
• Partner with vendor and UBS team to define statements of work activities aligning with scope and delivery dates. Keep track of program backlogs and roadmaps, ensuring these stay in line with management strategy and vision with a mindset on innovation for next generation capabilities.
• Sit next to business stakeholders and provide hands-on resolution for their problems. Evaluate and innovate new best-in-class data management, automation approaches and technologies. Drive adoption of data architecture best practices while adhering to financial services policies and standards. Document requirements and IT solutions while keeping colleagues up to date.

Education & Experience Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study plus 12 years of experience in the job offered or 12 years of experience as an IT Delivery Manager, Tech Business Analyst, Tech Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Java/J2EE Developer, Programmer Analyst, or a related occupation.
Alternate Education & Experience Requirement (if applicable)
• The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and 10 years of experience in the job offered or 10 years of experience as an IT Delivery Manager, Tech Business Analyst, Tech Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Java/J2EE Developer, Programmer Analyst, or a related occupation in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience.
Position requires experience with the following:
• Azure big data services, Spark, Scala, Java, and SQL; Tools used in software development lifecycle, such as IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Maven, JIRA, TeamCity, and Confluence;
• Continuous Integration environments, DevOps principles, automated unit testing and tools used to support CI and release management;
• Leading engineer/technical architect in a globally distributed team;
• Managing project resources, deliverables, allocations, budgets, timelines utilizing SDLC methodology;
• Ability to right-size projects, identify risks through applying knowledge, experience and analytical thinking from prior implementations. Can work remotely.
