UBS Financial Services INC is seeking an Associate Director, NLP Data Scientist in Nashville, TN

We’re looking for an Associate Director, NLP Data Scientist to:
• Build advanced statistical models to generate meaningful and actionable insights, improve decision making, optimize the business process, and help address business problems.
• Build deployable machine learning models and embedding them in scalable Natural Language Processing (NLP) platforms that support abstraction, summarization, sentiment analysis, emerging theme discovery, and search.
• Define AI research problems and criteria for evaluating success.
• Contribute to product design and developing features to enhance the product based on NLP techniques.
• Process massive amounts of structured and unstructured data.
• Research new machine learning solutions for complex business problems and embedding them within the business workflow.
• Can work remotely.

Your expertise

Education & Experience Requirement

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as an Associate Director DevOps, Database Administrator, IT Analyst, or a related occupation.

Position requires experience with the following:

• Developing NLP models using a framework including transformers, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, SpaCy, Gensim, LLM, Python; Building NLP models for sentiment, scoring, and summarization; Deep learning abstractions and transfer learning techniques;
• Large-scale unstructured text data; Standard machine and learning packages; Supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms;
• Database technologies including Greenplum database, Oracle Operational database, PostgreS DBA and SQL; Agile and Scrum development processes;
• Tools including RED hat Linux, PGadmin III, MoreVRP, Command center, putty, Data migrator, Data computing appliance (DCA); DevOps with Linux and Windows; Writing shell scripts.
