UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking an Associate Director, Risk Control Specialist in Nashville, TN

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Risk Control Specialist to:

• Assist in the ongoing management of market risk governance and framework.
• Coordinate and monitor market risk periodic reviews and controls (e.g., annual limit review, annual loss advisory controls (LAC) threshold review, annual review of risk reporting & analysis executed controls on the book hierarchy), cooperate with market risk officers to ensure completeness and mitigate governance gaps.
• Consistently scan market risk controls landscape, assessing gaps and identifying opportunities for improving processes and systems; cooperate with various teams, including IT, Risk Frameworks and Market Risk Change, to introduce and develop enhancements and solutions to improve the market risk framework, implement enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with global and market risk policy governance teams; monitor and assist in periodic and ad-hoc revisions of market risk documents, ensuring alignment with policy governance framework and standards; collaborate with risk control teams on various projects and initiatives including management of co-owned documentation (both formal policies, procedures, guidelines, and offline documents).
• Coordination of periodic and recurring meetings, taking minutes of the meetings, action tracking.
• Assist in regulatory and internal audit exams and issue remediations; cooperation across market risk teams to ensure completeness, tracking progress, ensure timely materials delivery; can work remotely.

Your expertise

Education & Experience Requirement

• a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Risk Management, or any Management related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years of experience as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Policy Governance Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, or a related occupation.

Position requires experience with the following:

• Market risk framework management; coordination and monitoring market risk periodic reviews and controls;
• Monitoring document revision cycles and planning revision processes to ensure alignment with policy governance standards;
• Management of market risk periodic reviews and controls; ability to analyze and work with large amount of data; identifying gaps in market risk processes and controls to develop enhancements to improve efficiency;
• Analysis, feedback, defining problems, finding, evaluating, and communicating solutions to recognize issues and problem solve;
• Coordinating regulatory audit engagement and cooperation across market risk teams to ensure completeness, tracking progress, ensure timely material delivery;
• Meeting coordination, action tracking and minutes taking; facilitating and managing projects that necessitate collaboration across various departments and involving employees of different seniority levels.
