Your role

At UBS Wealth Management, we place a strong emphasis on diversified across multiple asset classes, based on a global macroeconomic outlook. By analyzing macro factors such as economic growth rates, inflation, interest rates, and geopolitical risks, we aim to allocate assets with a view to medium- to long-term market developments, with the goal of maximizing risk-adjusted returns.

We’re looking for a CIO Japan strategist focusing on:

•Provide investment ideas/recommendations based on CIO researches
•Build and maintain economic/financial models to evaluate historical economic and market data and generate projections
•Communication about CIO asset allocation and investment strategy with clients, internal audiences, and media

Your team

You’ll be working in our Chief Investment Office (CIO) in Tokyo. We’re a global unit responsible for the investment strategy and research functions within Wealth Management and the APAC. As a CIO Japan strategist, you’ll play an important role in strengthening CIO functions (communications, investment idea/recommendation, asset allocation, branding).

Your expertise

•Understand asset allocation across multiple asset classes, while maintaining a macro perspective and outlook.
•Provide explanations of UBS’s asset allocation approach for both internal and client-facing purposes.
•Understand alternative assets and incorporate them into existing portfolios.
•Collaborate with the global CIO to help construct appropriate asset allocations for Japanese investors.
