Your role

We are looking for someone like that to take over the below responsibilities:
• Data Quality and Governance: Identify and resolve data quality issues across Client Coverage’s core data architecture. Perform root cause analysis and develop / implement controls to ensure ongoing data integrity and reliability.
• Requirements Definition: Partner with Client Coverage teams to define and document business and technical requirements for reporting, analytics and process improvement initiatives
• Process Improvement and Automation: Support efforts to assess, redesign and streamline business processes. Design and implement automated workflows and tools using Python, SQL and Power BI.
• Business Intelligence and Analytics: Develop dashboards and reports across various data domains for use by multiple areas within and external to Client Coverage
• Project Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of high-quality analytics projects while balancing competing priorities
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams across Client Coverage, including C&ORC, Finance and various business teams, to align solutions with business objectives
• Risk Management: Identify and raise potential risks in processes or data and implement mitigations to ensure compliance and operational excellence

Your team
You’ll be working in the UBS AM Global Business Management team, which is responsible for enabling our sales organization by providing services in risk management, financial control, change, data, and pretty much anything else that comes up. Our department consists of approximately 20 people who work in the US, Europe, and Asia, reporting into the Product Structuring and Client Platform function. In this role, you’ll play an important role in seeing that all business lines in the area run efficiently, effectively, and within risk tolerance.
Your team is part of Client Coverage within UBS Asset Management. Our business offers industry leading capabilities on a truly global scale. With over 1.7 trillion* in invested assets, we are the third largest Europe-based asset manager and the number 12 firm globally. Client Coverage is the sales organization driving the growth of our business by building relationships with Clients (*as of 30 June 2024)
Your expertise
• problem solver who can synthesize data and align to business processes
• proficiency (or a strong willingness to learn and excel) in combining tools like SQL Server Management Studio and Power BI along with SQL and Python to create robust data pipelines. You should also be familiar with common ETL and data modeling patterns.
• familiarity with Asset Management business models and strong understanding of how business processes are used to address stakeholder needs. You should have the ability to connect technical solutions to strategic objectives
• passion for data and maintaining its accuracy, quality and governance across its lifecycle
• ability to distill technical concepts into clear, actionable verbiage for non-technical audiences
• thrive in fast-paced, multi-dimensional environments and can take ownership of specific project tasks while delivering results independently
