Your role

Do you excel at spotting trends and uncovering insights from qualitative and quantitative data? The Banking Research team is looking for a Client & Market Insight Analyst to:

• partner with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into research objectives and testable hypotheses
• lead, or assist other members of Banking Research team, in designing and executing qualitive and quantitative market research studies
• lead, or assist other members of Banking Research team, in preparing research briefing and presentations
• contribute to the ongoing effort of infusing a research mindset into the bank through curating & publishing research newsletters, hosting research roundtables and updating research-related intranet sites
• gather and disseminate competitive intelligence
• synthesize data across primary and secondary sources
• program online surveys
• manage the operations for proprietary research panels of financial advisors, client service associates and clients
• moderate in-depth interviews or group discussions
• perform crosstabulations and statistical analysis of survey data

Your team

The Banking Research team is part of the Banking & Lending Experience Team within UBS Bank USA, the banking arm of UBS Global Wealth Management Americas. The team conducts extensive research with clients, prospects, financial advisors, team associates, and bankers to help embed insights in key decisions pertaining to strategy development, experience design, product development, sales, servicing and marketing.

Your expertise

• bachelor’s degree
• ideally 2+ years of applied market research experience, preferably in the financial services industry (e.g., personal/business banking, brokerage, wealth management, fintech) or at a research or consulting firm
• strong analytical mindset and aptitude
• demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• excellent attention to details
• intermediate-level Excel and PowerPoint skills
• demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix organization
• familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods a strong plus
• experience with online survey or online qualitative research platforms a strong plus
• familiarity with survey statistical packages and/or crosstabulation tools a strong plus
