Are you a collateral and margin management expert? Do you want to help us deliver solid service using your knowledge of front-to-back controls?

We’re looking for a Collateral Specialist to:

• work across teams and functions to get the best solution or course of action
• execute the processes and controls you are responsible for in a timely, accurate and complete manner within SLAs
• understand the risks associated with your business and function
• work on new/urgent regulatory requirements
• handling collateral reporting as per functional requirements
• manage client queries, exceptions and breaks; investigation, escalation and resolution - managing daily tasks and workload, prioritizing queries and addressing urgent ones in a timely manner

Your team

You’ll be working in the Global Collateral management operations team.
Collateral Management are a global function with a presence in UK, US and APAC. We're responsible for the delivery of collateral and margin management for UBS investment bank across all product lines. Our main goal is to help mitigate credit risk exposure which UBS or our counterparties face as it increasingly impacts the regulatory capital that UBS has to hold and the bank’s overall cost of funding.
On a daily basis, we deal with external stakeholders and Bank’s Clients across the globe, ensuring high level of Customer service and addressing Client’s queries. Our Team focuses on providing assistance and potential solutions to varying Client queries, also by liaising with internal stakeholders and serving as a intermediary and first point of contact for our Clients.

Your expertise

• able to think creatively and logically to solve problems
• flexible approach to issues, outside of the box thinking while addressing queries and mapping course of investigation including potential solutions
• mindset for Digital transformation and improving processes, supporting Global change initiatives
• confidence while working inclusively, with a range of stakeholders and ease in building relationships
• knowledge and exposure of Global Markets Operations, products, trade booking lifecycle, collateral management
• understanding of risk framework and controls, Regulatory requirements i.e. CFTC, Uncleared margin rules
• fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, legal or similar or prior work experience (1-3+ years) in the financial industry
