We’re looking for an Executive Director, Architect to:

• Design the architecture of the big data stack. Develop data governance libraries to support business and other divisions for python development.
• Support and develop bank’s strategic in house developed data platform (MEGDP) and helping other business areas to effectively use the platform.
• Coordinate Hadoop support and engineering enhancements, including Hadoop cluster upgrades and automation. Serve as a subject matter expert for Hadoop big data solutions.
• Coordinate Hadoop support and engineering enhancements, including Hadoop cluster upgrades and automation.
• Automate and work with the distributed file systems and storage technologies as well as large scale distributed data analytics platforms and compute environments.
• Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).

Your expertise

Education & Experience Requirement
• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Computer Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as a Software Quality Tester or Hadoop Architect, or a related occupation.

Alternate Education & Experience Requirement (if applicable)
• The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Computer Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Tester or Hadoop Architect, or a related occupation in lieu of Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.

Position requires experience with the following:
• (1) build Hadoop technology stacks; (2) develop big data tools; (3) Hadoop components (Hive, HBase, Kafka, and Spark); (4) Hadoop cluster upgrade and automation; (5) automation using Python and Shell scripting; (6) Flume; (7) HDFS; (8) Kudu; (9) Data Platform Monitoring and Observability; (10) Hadoop Access Control Lists (ACL) and Ranger Security Design and Implementation; (11) Red Hat Enterprise Linux Performance Tuning and Network Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) Bonding Configuration, Implementation and Troubleshooting; (12) Linux Containerization Architecture and Implementation using Docker and Kubernetes; (13) Data mesh platform.

Salary information

US Only: The expected salary range for this role is $210,000 to $225,000 based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Please see «Your role» section for detailed salary information.
