Your role

Do you have sound knowledge of investment strategies? Do you have a track record in real estate investment? Are you interested in being on the cutting edge of indirect real estate investment?

We’re looking for a Senior Investment professional to:
• originate and execute fund investments, co-investments, JVs, GP-led recapitalisations, Operational company (OpCo), GP stake and secondaries investments in real estate private market transactions across EMEA
• for structuring purposes, manage thought leadership with internal regional teams in evaluating existing portfolios for potential transactions and strategy, while also building external deal-flow in a methodical and systematic program by market, asset class and preferred/exclusive co-investment, JV and OpCo providers
• develop work flows for liaising with internal committees, legal, operations, structuring, legal and tax analysis as well as external parties including, fund managers, brokers, advisors, consultants, sellers, limited partners and financing institutions. Negotiate terms and indirect structures which will include asset / portfolio level underwriting, as well as underwriting of JV partner / external manager co-investments
• lead deal investment processes, including legal, tax, commercial and structuring due diligence. Claim ownership of and manage material production and presentations
• manage and co-ordinate junior support and training on underwriting
• maintain and enhance underwriting templates for the modelling, analysis and valuation of investments, including for single asset, portfolio, OpCo, fund portfolio valuations for roll-up analyses and financing overlays. Claim ownership of implementation of these for live transactions.
• convert industry insights into comprehensive investment recommendations and risk assessments
• drive production of IC memorandums and recommendations of investments to the Global Investment Committee
• remain current on market developments to help frame sourcing and investment strategies
• develop appropriate processes and structures and oversee the monitoring and management of corporate and operational actions as well as summary and forecast materials for client and investment reporting materials and meetings. Support asset management, risk management and reporting of investments.
• play an active role in fundraising efforts and initiatives.

You’ll be working in the Real Estate team in London within the Unified Global Alternatives Real Estate (UGA-RE) division. We are responsible for the sourcing, selection and diligence of investment opportunities for our dedicated funds and pools of capital. As a Senior Investment Officer, you’ll play an important role in the origination, review / selection of real estate investments and the monitoring of our portfolio in EMEA. We are a highly reputable team with direct access to high quality deal flow with best-in-class managers in the sector.

Your expertise

• 12+ years’ relevant experience in real estate private markets
• proven senior and long-standing industry networks with principal real estate groups, fund managers, asset companies, limited partners, financial advisors, brokers, valuers and sellers is essential across Europe
• bachelor’s/master’s degree, ideally with a post-graduate qualification (but not mandatory)
• solution-oriented thinker with strong skills of communication and collaboration
• organized and focused on results, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
• proficient computer skills, including AI, Excel, PPT, and financial modelling capability
• collaborative personality, with the ability to source and execute transactions independently
• fluency in a second language is an asset.
