Your role
Are you a sharp evaluator of risk, who enjoys investigating complex business processes and products? Do you want to play a key role in improving the effectiveness of business critical processes to help safeguard and strengthen UBS?
We’re looking for a Risk Expert or Auditor (Director) to:
• plan, execute and lead audits, issue assurance, and risk assessment reviews according to our internal standards that are fully supported by the work done.
• highlight where controls are functioning well or where UBS needs to act to better manage current and emerging risks and escalate any significant concerns or issues appropriately.
• meet our internal standards for the quality, execution and documentation of assurance work, taking account of legal entity coverage expectations, where required.
• proactively and successfully collaborate with peers in and across audit teams.
• build and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues and relevant stakeholders at all levels including senior management.
• continuously assess the risk profile of the relevant UBS IB businesses.
• participate in regulatory inspections and address inquiries from regulators

Your team
You’ll be working in the Investment Bank (IB) Derivatives & Solutions Audit team in Singapore, with the core responsibility to conduct and lead audit work covering Global Market’s equities and fixed income derivative trading businesses. We are an independent function that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions and corporate functions globally.
Your expertise
• at least 4 years' worth of experience working on audit, compliance or internal risk management areas within the financial industry.
• strong analytical skills and quantitative approach to problem solving.
• able to quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo, identifying risks and inadequacies in processes.
• effective communicator with strong verbal and writing skills
• good team player
• willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods.
• capable of using data analytics to gain insights into transactions, clients, and investment products
• a university bachelor degree or equivalent 
• fluent in Mandarin preferred
• a flexible and committed team player willing to travel to other UBS locations for audit assignments
