Your role

Are you a proactive self-starter motivated to drive business forward? Do you know how to make sure things run smoothly? We’re looking for someone who can provide business-related services and partner with the Global Markets business in Australia:

– Overseeing the day-to-day management of the front-to-back control environment
– Managing regulatory risks and ensuring continuous improvements to operational risks
– Coordinating supporting units, managing relationships with Operations, Legal, Compliance & ORC, Finance, GIA (Group Internal Audit) and other stakeholders
– Driving and contributing to various change and business enabling initiatives
– Managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring efficient use of technology
– Identifying efficiency opportunities and ensuring that any solutions are implemented consistently on a global basis
– Providing broader support to Derivatives & Solutions (D&S) across Asia Pacific, and to the Australia and New Zealand Global Markets business

Your team

You’ll be working in the Global Markets Derivatives and Solutions COO team in Sydney primarily supporting the FX, Rates and Credit business with team members in Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York managing the front to back on behalf of the Global Markets Trading Business and help implement the Business Strategy

Your expertise

– at least 2 years of relevant work experience, including similar positions in a financial institution
– knowledge and understanding of front to back processes and sensitivity towards a diverse workforce on the trading floor
– proven track record of operating in a global matrix environment, driving consensus and ability to constructively challenge
– an excellent communicator, with persuasive presentation skills
– incredibly organized, with an innate sense of how to prioritize
– a high performing individual with strong understanding and knowledge of UBS or similar institution, its businesses, the opportunities and challenges confronting the industry
– able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced trading environment
able to analyze large quantities of data and identify key conclusions
