Your role

Do you have extensive expertise within the functional area? Do you want to help strengthen the Firm's cyber defense operations, map defense capabilities to the threat landscape, foster end-to-end transparency, align organizational priorities, develop technical requirements, and contribute to the design of the security architecture and business processes? Do you focus on one or several of the Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover capabilities. You will be working to protect, preserve, and prolong the value of UBS data and digital services, and therefore enhance UBS's brand and competitiveness in a digitized world.

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer who could help us with:

• design, develop and test different parts of new SAI web application which is going to allow end users to highlight any potential gaps between internal inventory and CASB classification data
• our new application collects data from various sources and combines them together. Because of that at least basic SQL experience is necessary to be able to understand & improve data flows
• we are using Azure Webapps & Functions heavily so potential candidate must be familiar with both. Along with Python (Django ) those components are key ones which we use on a daily basis
• we will soon add LLM capabilities for context-based pre-matching. Because of that any experience with OpenAI services provided on Azure is appreciated but not mandatory

Your team

You’ll be working in the External Collaboration & Web Controls team across Poland, UK, India and Switzerland focusing on Data Protection. We provide data protection case management tooling and CASB services. This benefits the entiure Banks through providing data protection through out interactive business activities. As a Software Development Engineer, you’ll play an important role in extending capabilities based on our CASB services.

Your expertise

• overall 8+ years of experience and proven record of accomplishment with min. 5 years of work experience in IT and 3 recent years in a similar role (SW development/engineering/integration)
• on-hands experience with Python, Django, SQL and web development
• knowledge about different Azure components and services (at least Azure Webapps & Functions)
• experience in developing & managing API integrations with external tools
• ability to coordinate and independently drive activities to successful completion
• basic understanding in infrastructure components (DHCP, DNS, AD, PKI, virtualization) with experience in either Linux or windows administration or engineering.
• Proficient in security concepts (data security & application security)
• result oriented, dedicated, hardworking and can work on their own initiative whilst also working collaboratively and delivering on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
