Join our highly rated UBS Equity Research team in Auckland where you will be supporting our coverage of New Zealand companies in entrepreneurial, collaborative culture and flat team structure.

We’re looking for an equity analyst to:

• Assist the lead analyst in the day to day running of the New Zealand research franchise.
• Collect industry and financial data and compile answers for client requests.
• Update and help develop financial models, valuations frameworks and forecasts.
• Maintain databases of economic and industry specific data.
• Maintain sound working relationships with Corporates, Clients, Government, and industry organizations.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Research team in Auckland. In this role you will learn build financial models, analyze large data sets to identify key trends, and build industry knowledge through attending corporate and investment advisory sessions. You will have access to company management and industry experts, as well as other industry wide conferences, as a means for fact gathering and idea generation.

Your expertise

• 1 – 3 years of experience in a sell-side research role, accounting or in a consulting role
• tertiary qualification in economics, finance, engineering or similar discipline
• attention to detail orientated person and an inquisitive mind.
• good communication skills and ability to building good relationships.
• self-motivated with a passion in equity research and a willingness to learn
• proactive problem solver who enjoys a challenging / high-performance environment. *#LI-TC1
