Your role

The Southeast Asia Investment Bank Marketing team focuses on promoting the region to investors, and engagement of Investment Bank clients in the region; about the region and for the region.

We are looking for an experienced marketer, who can place the Southeast Asia story and client experience at the center of client events, seminars and conferences, within the framework of compliance, governance and events best practices. This role will:

– partner with stakeholders in ASEAN-6, and Marketing leadership to facilitate program content for conferences and expert events, aligning to strategic, regional, market and sector themes, for clients across divisions
– liaise with external agencies and work through internal channels to source high quality speakers from across academic, corporate, public, private, cultural, sports and government sectors, managing compliance and reputational
– collaborate with Group Brand and Sponsorship and other business divisions to customise Brand platforms and experiences for SEA corporate and institutional audiences
– Oversee the spectrum of event logistics including venue, catering, production, virtual platforms, and
– work with Marketing Strategy to generate new ideas and deliver on event marketing strategy

– supporting the development of best practice and workflow across the Event Marketing function
– work with Events team, Digital Event Transformation and Business Management on analytics to measure performance and ROI
– ensuring events in the region adhere to the strictest operational standards across the firm’s procurement, compliance, regulatory and legal processes

Your team

You'll be part of a team which covers marketing activity for the Investment Bank, originating or operating in Southeast Asia. You will be working with various functions: Strategy, Execution, Sponsorship, Branding, Corporate Communications, Corporate Access, to deliver comprehensive events and conferences to our business partners in the Investment Bank. Our culture is one of collaboration and shared goals.

The Investment Bank business provides access and insights through conferences, client events, expert seminars/round tables, corporate days, investor conferences with 1-1 and group meetings. These interactions between industry experts and regulators, issuers, corporate clients, internal research and institutional investors are an integral part of the Investment Bank sales and advisory process.

Your expertise

You have:
– 10-15 years’ relevant experience in financial services marketing, preferably in the corporate and investment bank, or traditional / digital / direct marketing arena or as a conference planner in other industries
– an understanding of financial markets and the cultural nuances of countries across the SEA and wider APAC region.
– strong project management experience with ability to multi-task and manage various project elements efficiently
– an eye for design, aesthetics and brand alignment with strong attention to details
– the ability to understand and simplify information to create clear, compelling communications and an interest in story-telling

– are an independent yet accountable creative and strategic thinker, energetic and solutions-oriented
– are passionate about client experience and with strong communication skills, articulate at all levels of seniority, skilled at relationship-building and influencing outcomes
– are comfortable working with ambiguity, frequently changing timeframes and tight deadlines
– have strong problem-solving skills and are methodical and organized
