Your role
Do you thrive in a portfolio manager support function and have good ideas to improve processes?
Do you have an IT affinity to improve our platforms? Are you an analytical, focused and diligent professional used to working with tight deadlines?
We’re looking for a Portfolio Engineer to:
• manage accounts, which follow portfolio management strategies
• implement Portfolio Manager decisions in a timely and accurate manner
• ensure that internal, client, and regulatory guidelines are adhered to
• review fund cash, currency and positions (both pre and post trade), ensuring correct systems and overseeing data quality
• support new portfolio and mandate launches, transitions, and lifecycle events
• coordinate closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders and many other internal Asset Management teams
• learn new skills to work alongside other areas within Portfolio Engineering and Trading such as Index and ETF Investments.

Your team
You'll be working in the Portfolio Engineering and Trading team in London. Our team is responsible for the implementation of Long only, and Long-Short Equity portfolios. As a portfolio engineer, you’ll play an important role in the timely implementation of investment portfolios with exposure to a variety of asset classes including Equity, Swaps, Futures, FX hedging and other portfolio construction strategies.
Your expertise
• organized and focused, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
• at least 2 years’ experience in an Asset Management front office or portfolio management support role
• an affinity to work with different systems, good ideas of how to use technology to improve processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk
• strong Excel skills, with coding/programming experience seen as beneficial
• an eager, responsive and fast learner, with an ability to demonstrate an interest in global markets
• very detail oriented, able to spot tiny anomalies which may be overlooked by others
• able to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and still contribute to a positive team atmosphere
• self-motivated, able to work independently as well as within a culturally diverse team environment
