Your role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our data analytics and engineering team to design, develop and lead implementation of data pipeline and analytics solutions.

At the role you will :



• design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Databricks and PySpark.

• design and develop using any RDBMS technologies like Oracle, Sql server and etc.

• write efficient and reusable code in Python for data transformation and automation tasks.

• develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

• collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.

• ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data processes.

• monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and performance issues.

• document technical solutions and maintain best practices for data engineering.

You will be part of the Data Analytics & Dashboard Crew, based in Hyderabad, India, within the IB-Tech function. Our crew is responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions that support Regulatory Reporting across Investment Banking (IB) and Wealth Management (WM) businesses globally. We build and maintain a portfolio of applications that ensure compliance, transparency, and operational excellence for transaction reporting across all geographies where UBS operates.

You’ll be joining a highly motivated and talented group where innovation is not only encouraged but expected.

Your expertise

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• strong proficiency in RDBMS , Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
• familiarity with data modeling, warehousing concepts, and big data technologies.
• excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• strong communication and collaboration abilities.
