Are you client oriented? Do you like to challenge the status quo and improve processes?
We are looking for an Authorized Officer who will manage end-to-end client onboarding for domestic clients and Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) in India markets. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and operational excellence while supporting Global Markets business lines.
We are looking for a team member to help support the onboarding function for the local India business by performing the following tasks:
• support end-to-end client onboarding process by becoming an SME in KYC and regulatory requirements for India
• manage prioritization, take ownership of cases and escalate where necessary, collaborate with global regulatory, tax and KYC Review teams
• responding to upcoming regulatory changes and new requirements which impact the local franchise
• ensuring all documentation is maintained and updated properly
• facing off external clients and internal colleagues such as Front Office, Middle Office, Compliance, Legal
• other team tasks include: reporting and MIS generation, supporting remediation projects, support audit queries , planning and participating in IT changes, support/initiate automation and simplification projects

Your team
You will be working in the Client Onboarding Engagement team of UBS Securities India Pvt ltd ( Mumbai) and responsible for the client onboarding function. You will have colleagues across APAC in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Japan, and will also liaise with other members in EMEA and US.
Your expertise
• 6-10 years experience in due diligence, AML operations, KYC, client onboarding and/or related functions. Knowledge of FPI onboarding process would be an added advantage
• Self starter and a person with an eye for detail and high risk awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• demonstrate initiative in improving processes
• hard working, ambitious, able to adapt and to embrace change
• Ability to manage complex onboarding scenarios and exceptions independently.
