Your role

We’re looking for a Python Developer with a focus on process automation to:

- Deliver technology solutions that solve real business problems and reinforce our leadership in digital financial services;
- Analyze and translate business requirements from our global wealth management teams into robust technical designs;
- Design, develop, and deploy automation and agentic workflows using Python, Power Platform, Azure, and various modern frameworks;
- Evaluate new software initiatives, offering technical recommendations to enhance existing systems and drive innovation;
- Participate in code reviews and provide maintenance support, ensuring long-term stability and performance of our solutions;
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships in both Japanese and English across our business in Japan, APAC, and globally.

Your team

You’ll be based in Tokyo as part of the Process Automation and Optimization Team, where we craft smart automation solutions that streamline front-to-back business processes. Anchored in a DevOps framework, our team ensures these solutions remain stable, scalable, and continuously evolving with the latest technologies. Working languages are English and Japanese.

Your expertise

Required skills:
- Python:
- build clean, scalable, well-documented and modular code,
- strong grasp of data types,
- functional and OOP programming,
- error handling,
- familiarity with Pythonic principles,
- automating workflows across Windows apps, web apps, cloud, databases, APIs, Excel, Word, PDF and other documents,
- web scraping,
- user interfaces and light weight web apps,
- data extraction including OCR,
- unit testing;
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with strong cross-cultural awareness;
- Effective communicator with experience in business process analysis and stakeholder alignment;
- You are proactive, accountable and a dependable team player who takes pride in their work.


Skills that are a plus:
- Strong technical acumen to proactively pick up and drive the adoption of new technologies,
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and Figma;
- VBA and JavaScript,
- Power Platform, Office 365, SharePoint and Dataverse,
- Data analytics with MS Fabric,
- Git, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines,
- Proficiency in Azure, including Azure AI Foundry, and deployment flows,
- Interest in agentic workflows or exposure to LangChain, Hugging Face, vector databases, PostgreSQL and LLM APIs,
- Professional experience in financial services, specifically wealth management and investment banking.
