We’re looking for a highly driven, analytical, teamwork oriented, forward thinking individual to join our Equity Derivatives EMEA COO team to support the business, which is functionally part of Derivatives & Solutions, by partnering with front office stakeholders and infrastructure functions to help drive day-to-day operations and business strategy.
The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Partner with front office stakeholders both locally and globally to manage the implementation of key projects and initiatives, including business driven changes to transform our Trading, Structuring and Sales functions
• Manage relationships with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Finance and Legal to drive efficiencies across the business
• Work closely with your team members to implement an effective risk framework that adheres to industry standards and liaise with regulators as needed
• Monitor, analyze and present on financial performance of the business to senior stakeholders
• Responsible for managing day to day BAU activities: problem solving, trouble shooting, issue management, communication, etc. with the business
• Be continuously aware of market environment, trends and regulation

Your team
You'll be working in the Equity Derivatives COO team in London. The team is a global team with business managers based in London, Zurich, Hong Kong and New York with responsibilities for business management of the Equity Derivatives business within Global Markets. The team forms part of the wider Derivatives & Solutions COO team based in London.
The team focuses on ensuring that the business operates effectively by managing risk, helping navigate change, maximizing profitability, as well as ensuring we are compliant across a range of regulations, policies and procedures.
This is a diverse role spanning across elements of strategy, analytics, budgeting, performance monitoring, regulatory impact, front to back controls, market structure issues, tech implementation/digitization, and comprehensive understanding of business. The role provides an opportunity to connect with senior leaders across different areas both regionally and globally.

Your expertise
• Previous relevant experience preferred (i.e. business management, COO, finance, operational risk, management consulting)
• Comfortable working and networking across diverse businesses and personalities through consensus building and a partnership approach across the COO team globally
• Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative environment
• Ability to make timely and independent judgement decisions while working in a fast paced and results driven environment
• Capacity to understand new processes and quickly evaluate issues in order to prioritize work and design solutions to benefit the business
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and promote a teamwork culture
• Ability to perform under pressure and cope with difficult and changing scenarios
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills and capable of interpreting information to support decision making
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data effectively for delivery to management, especially through Excel and PowerPoint
• Open to challenging and applying new automation tools to existing processes
• Highly motivated, self-driven, passionate about their work
• Organized and logical thought process in which they can adopt systematic approach to resolve problems
• Manage multiple priorities, and ensure completion of deliverables in timely fashion
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Any other language skills are an advantage
